DOUBLE SCOTCH followed in closest pursuit of the pace being established by SUN CAPTURE, responded gamely to punishment and wore down the pacemaker inside the last seventy yards. SUN CAPTURE raced to the front in the opening strides, drew clear and, despite holding on stubbornly, was unable to withstand the winners bid. NOEL H. loomed up menacingly near the stretch and faltered steadily in the last three-sixteenths. TRIPLE ACTION made up some ground. BLUE DAY, in nearest attendance of the pace for the opening quarter mile, was roused several times nearing the far turn, disposed of PITTER PAT for the lead and drew out steadily when freed from restraint in the last three-sixteenths. POSTSCRIPT, unruly at the post, raced well placed, made a game effort to reach the winner midway of the far turn, was not good enough, but continued well. SYNOD, outrun early, came gamely in the stretch and was up in the last strides to take third. PITTER PAT had early speed and faltered after making a futile effort to go along with the winner when challenged. ROCK POINT was outrun. Scratched 2S035::Rough Parly, 112. RETIRED outran her field from the start, drew into a commanding lead in the first quarter mile and, steadied along in front thereafter, held sway to the close. NARISE, under reserve while following the pace, moved up gamely when placed under punishment and, though closing gamely, was no match for the winner. MOVIE LASS improved her position steadily and closed stoutly on the outside through the stretch run. BALANCED BUDGET, slow to settle into his best stride, closed a good gap. LUM JOY had good early speed and was hard ridden in an effort to reach the lead, faltering in the closing five-sixteenths. KAI HARRI lacked speed and was far back the entire way. MISS OTIS was prominently placed the entire way, drew clear in the stretch, but was unable to cope with the closing challenge of the winner. MAKEIT was prominently placed the entire way, but was unable to keep pace under punishment. FORCED LANDING moved up steadily on the inside, gained slightly, but tired in the last three-sixteenths. BULLFINCH was outrun early, but came willingly in the stretch run. SUPREME MAIDEN was well placed, but was blocked when attempting to come through on the inside at the stretch turn. DREEL, away well, dropped back in the opening quarter mile, began moving up on the outside leaving the back stretch, closed stoutly through the stretch and outlasted CANDY PRINCE at the close. CANDY PRINCE, quickest to begin, drew clear in the opening eighth and, rated along in front, held on stubbornly when overtaken. ROUGH PARTY, well placed, dropped back after rounding the far turn and closed stoutly in the final drive. FICKLE CHANCE moved up gamely nearing the stretch, was placed under punishment, but was unable to improve her position. HOME LOAN could never enter into contention. ENTHUSIASM, hard ridden while following the early pace, dropped back steadily in the last quarter mile. BACHELOR DINNER lacked his usual speed and was never prominent. GLYNSON followed in close pursuit of the pace, wore down HYMARQUE for the command in the stretch, though was no match for the winner when challenged. HYMARQUE went to the front after going a half mile, was steadied along in front, placed under punishment in an effort to stave off GLYNSONS bid and tired in the last sixteenth. EDDIE WRACK forced the pace of MADERIS, took command when the latter began tiring, but was unable to keep pace when challenged, though he just surrendered the place in the last few strides. BULL MARKET, slow to settle into his stride, moved up on the outside rounding the first turn, but was unable to reach the leaders under pressure BOUNDING COUNT made up some ground after trailing early. DANCING BOY, restrained early, responded willingly to pressure in the last quarter and closed stoutly. POCKET forced the early pace and held on well. ROCKY PRINCE displayed good speed in pacemaking, but faltered in the final sixteenth. MT. HOOD, as usual, was slow to begin, moved up menacingly on the inside when the leaders went wide entering the stretch, was blocked when the leaders bore over and his rider was forced to take up and come to the outside.
