REMINISCENT, sent into command with a rush and saving ground throughout, had to be strongly -shaken up to hold BUBBLETTE safe in the final eighth. The latter, probably best and forced back as PLEA came over in the opening quarter, was forced a trifle wide by the latter when entering the stretch and closed resolutely. PLEA swerved over sharply shortly after the start, swerved out on the stretch turn and tired after five-eighths, but held the others safe. MARGARET G. was in close quarters before reaching trie turn. MABEL MILLER, taken back early, was on the inside on the turn, but came out in the stretch. HONORARY had to be taken back at the start. Scratched 23205 Ccallaigh, 110; 27537 Kabo, 105. STAIRS, saving ground throughout and hustled into command, increased her advantage as AUTOGRAPH swerved out on the stretch turn and, continuing well, held sway thereafter, but was ridden out. AUTOGRAPH swerved out on the far turn, raced wide entering the stretch and, continuing to swerve in the final straightaway, was not a serious threat to the winner. TIMBERLINE lost ground, but held on well in a good effort and outfinished COSETTE at the end. The latter had no mishaps. UVALDE, fractious at the post, showed nothing. NORTHERN SIR, on the inside after the first sixteenth, slowly shook off WHISKARITA and, after drawing clear in the final eighth, was taken under light restraint. SHASTA BROOM, jostled about early, came to the outside in the stretch and closed well in a good effort. WHISKARITA, lucky to keep up as TAD bore over in the first quarter, took a short lead entering the stretch and held on gamely to the last sixteenth, where she tired. TAD swerved over sharply in the first quarter, rallied after being pinched back on the stretch turn, but faltered in the last ciehth. KOLEY BEY raced wide. BLACK SCOUT, impeded early, lost ground on the turn and did not threaten thereafter. MR. MARVEL suffered interference, but lacked speed when rlear. Scratched-28118 Shady Girl, 107. TRACKER forced the early pace under mild reserve, could not get to the leader with a rally entering the stretch and tired in the late stages. MIN ORMONT had no mishaps. INFIDOX forced the .pace under light restraint to the stretch, worked his way to the front under strong handling and held on well, though was no match for the winner. BROWN FEATHERS, slow to begin and brought to the outside in the stretch, passed tired horses in the final eighth. TRANS-MUTABLE displayed keen speed, but tired in the final eighth. MANAGER BILL rushed to contention early, forced the pace under steadying restraint, took command when urged, then drew out to win in hand. BALLY WISE, outrun to the stretch, where he came to the outside, responded gamely to pressure, but was no match for the winner. WAYALOFT, sent to a commanding lead early, gave way to the winner approaching the stretch, then lost ground urider strong riding, but was best of the others. BLACK PETER, well up early, failed to respond when subjected to pressure. SOMEONE ELSE was done early. The others were outrun. Overweight Someone Else, 1 pound. DIANE S., well up throughout and on the inside, attained a slight lead after five-eighths, but failed to repulse the winner when challenged, though holding MISS TWINKLE safe. The latter, sent to the front early, held on fairly well after relinquishing the lead, but faltered in the stretch. SHALOT began well and in contention for five-eighths, but lost ground thereafter.
