Start bad and slow. Won driving; second and third easily. GOOD TRADE moved into command with a rush, showed speed throughout and, under pressure, outlasted HIGH MABEL in the final drive. The latter, in nearest pursuit of the pace from the start, responded to urging and finished with determination. DEBATE bore out after the break, was placed under pressure 1 rounding the turn, but could not menace the leaders. SILVER PALM moved up when called upon, but hung at the end. RIDEAWAY followed the pace under steady restraint, was bothered when OCCOQUAN made a bad landing at the eighth fence, moved into command when ready and had speed in reserve at the end. .DOCK LIGHT was rated along steadily, moved up the final turn of the field when called upon, made a determined bid nearing the final fence, but hung at the end. GOLD QUEST moved up fast after the break, was placed under pressure, but could not menace the winner. BAD DREAMS improved her position on the outside and made up ground steadily. HOWEVER showed a flash of early speed, but quit at the end. BETTY VIC closed ground steadily. CELTIC LEGEND broke slowly, moved up with a rush on the inside and then quit. The latter was close up from the start, responded to urging in the stretch run and finished with good courage. GENTLE TRYST showed early speed, but was tiring fast at the finish. UNDER THE GUNS finished with determination on the outside. NIGHTMARE raced evenly throughout. PARAGUAY TEA was as good as left and closed considerable ground through the stretch. BONNIE LOIS was kept forwardly from the start and finished well. INFANTRY, on the outside of the leaders in the early running, hung" under pressure through the stretch run. SANDY BILL showed speed from the start, but was bothered in the stretch run when the riderless CLOUD SWEEPER forced his way between him and GOLDEN LYREl . EPICAL overcame interference early in the running, came through on the inside in the stretch, but hung at the end. SUN ARCHER, from a slow start, finished with a rush.
