PURCHASES SIR KOSTER LEXINGTON, Ky., June 25. Mrs. Cary Jackson, Marletothe Farm, Keswick, Va., has been in Kentucky all week seeking thoroughbreds for hunting purposes and has bought one horse Sir Koster, b. g, 5, by Sir Peter Koster Girl, by Maintenant. She made the purchase at Latonia Tuesday afternoon from E. A. Bischoff. Mrs. Jackson is going back to Latonia from Lexington tomorrow to see if she can locate other suitable horses. "It is becoming more and more difficult to find, proper material for the show ring and the hunting field," said Mrs. Jackson today. "It is not altogether that horses of proper type and bone are not at the race courses and on the farms, but it is the presence of marks from the firing iron on ankles, knees and tendons in perhaps four out of five instances that serve as a bar to usefulness in the show ring and in hunting. Exhibitors and riders will not have horses which have been fired."
