DETROIT TURF NOTES . Before shipping his stable of fifteen head to Arlington Park, Benny Creech sold Miss Petrina and Jeu de Bar to M. L. Smith. E. Gravitt will train the pair. Creech named Miss Dolphin for the Woodward Stakes and she will be returned here to fill her engagement. S. S. Brown, who serves as assistant racing secretary and placing judge at Arlington Park, departed for Chicago. Brown has been serving as placing judge and entry clerk here. Apprentice Leroy Pierson, whose services were leased by Harold Simmons from Val-dina Farm, arrived from Chicago and was in colors Thursday afternoon. N. D. Thompson purchased the plater Coltman from Joe E. Blake. Apprentice Charles Parke and jockey Charles Parvin left for Chicago. They plan on riding at Hawthorne until the opening of the Arlington Park season. Willie Causey shipped the Mayfield Stable and six horses the property of Mrs. A. M. Creech to Arlington Park.
