I HAWTHORNE TURF NOTES f s 1 Trainer Otto Bagley, with ten he is train- I ing for the Blue Ridge Farm, moved to Arlington Park Thursday morning. He may send Transmutable and Weelukie to Thistle Downs under J. Grahams care. The stable Willie Crump will race at Arlington Park unloaded at the north side track from Latonia Thursday morning. Mark Livingston, acting for Mrs. L. J. Remm, acquired the two-yearrold Dark Witch, a daughter of Dark Jest and Mary Lynn, from Maj. A. W. Rafferty, of Morocco, Ind. The mare Mintogee went to Major Rafferty in the deal. Former jockey Ralph Worthington, up and about following a long illness, was a visitor at Hawthorne Thursday. Jockey L. Canfield, a recent arrival from Latonia, is accepting mounts at Hawthorne. Trainer J. J. Flanigan Thursday completed moving the large Valdina Farm string to Arlington Park from Hawthorne. Anxious to resume riding at the earliest possible time, Frank Mauro galloped several horses at Hawthorne Thursday. He was painfully injured in a fall here about three weeks ago. Half of the E. K. Bryson string goes to Arlington Park Friday and the remainder on Saturday, according to G, R. Bryson. The Bryson stable is headed by the crack filly and Classic candidate, Carvola,. runner-up to Hollyrood in the Chicago Derby.
