MISS LEANNAH improved , her positjon steadijy through the -back stretch, came to the outside of the leader entering the stretch and, closing fast, drew away in the last quarter. BESS TAM shook off IDEALISTIC leaving the back stretch, drew clear, but could not match the winners stride, when collared. MOCK MODESTY dropped back after the break, moved up with a rush straightening out for the final run Vnd finished going stronely. GLOSS showed a flash of early speed. SIR WINDSOR, rated just back of: the pace all down the back stretch, moved Mp on the turn into the home stretch, secured a brief lead, but could not hold off the winner. JANE D. lacked speed for five-eighths, and closed with a belated rush in the middle of the track. ROYAL WAGER, breaking faster than usual, displayed keen speed for five-eighths, but tired right at the end. SECOND GUESS went evenly at all times. JEAN LEE showed a dull effort at all stages. The latter was up with the pace at all times, swung slightly wide entering the stretch, but tired right at the- end. JUST REMEMBER, far back for seven-eighths, closed much ground in the last quarter. Won driving: second and third the same - GOLDEN WATCH, close up at all stages, secured command at the stretch head and stood a hard drive to hold off OVERSTIMULATE. The latter worked its way up along the inner rail going through the back stretch, swung to the outside of the pacemakers entering the stretch,-but could not wear the winner down. PALATINE established a fast pace for seven-eighths and held on well after losing command. ANHELATION trailed for three-quarters, rushed around on the outside on the far turn and finished with a belated rush. FLAMING LIGHT, closest to the pace in the early stages, quit when called upon in the last quarter mile. SPERO raced evenly at all times.
