f LINCOLN FIELDS TURF NOTES i and Trainer G. H. Neal announced that he will race the three horses he has for Mrs. L. Hartrick at Sportsmans Park during the first week there and then will ship to Arlington Downs. The trio includes Busy Spain, Florid and Sweep Along. Former jockey J. W. Smith is taking J. G. Browns Susan Hay to Lexington Sunday. There he expects to assemble a string of horses for winter racing. Jockeys D. McCown and D. McCune will leave over the week-end for California. Heading for Texas Sunday will be the horses of H. K. Barron and E. R. Moulder. The former has Step in Time, Gray Porte, Exchange Club, Favorite Child, Escomur and Good Scout, while Moulder will ship Lumil-lion and Norman D. Among others who will ship to Arlington Downs Sunday are R. O. Higdon, with six; Sam Orr, with five; L. R. Knifong, with two; Frank Barton, with two; R. Scoville, with two, and D. McDormott, with four. R. McGarvey wired irom New York requesting condition books and stall applications for Churchill Downs, indicating that he plans to race a division of the Milky Way Farm horses of Mrs. Ethel V. Mars during the Louisville meeting. A. Swcnker, with eight head, and I. E. Kclley, with four, are leaving here Sunday for California. Howard Oots, currently visiting here, will send a stable to California for the first time in many years. His colors will be represented during the coming Santa Anita meeting. R. W. Mcllvain, wealthy racing and breeding enthusiast, who recently acquired one of the finer farms in Kentucky, has booked two mares to imported Pharamond II. for next season. News of the death of William Schaff, sports writer of the New Orleans Item, was received here Wednesday. Schaff, who had been assigned to the Fair Grounds at New Orleans for several years, had many friends among horsemen. G. C. White will transport the successful Rosedale Stable of George Clark to Lexington Sunday and accompanying the string will be apprentice Theo. Dickinson. The horses in the consignment will be Silk Mask, Bandalore, Kentucky Blues. Hat Check, Batman, Lake View, Cavour, Exclaim and Am peris, .
