Marynell, winner of the Western Hill Handicap, covered six furlongs in 1:223, breezing, and Paradisical was timed the same distance in 1:23. Cristate traversed seven furlongs in 1:34. Apprentice J. Haritos suffered a dislocated right shoulder and a deep cut which required six stitches to close when he was thrown from Jerry S. several days ago. The lad will be inactive for two weeks or more. I. B. Fitzgerald, who has several horses at River Downs, received word that his brother, Woody Fitzgerald, was recovering from injuries received when kicked by a horse at the California farm of Norman Church.
