Where house odds were accepted, the procedure should be as follows: If was bet on each horse and 3 to 1 laid on one horse, the pay-off should be .00 to the player and .00 to the layer; if 2 to 1 was laid on the other, the pay-off should be .50 to the player and .50 to the layer. Where one of the horses in a dead heat is quoted at odds-on, or less than even money, the transaction is a loser. For. -Instance, if is bet on a 4 to 5 shot, the pay-off in the dead heat would bfc 90 cents to the layer and 90 cents to the player. The amount ol money bet, plus the odds laid, with the. tctal divided equally between the player- a.liLlajcr, is the. regular method cf pay-off In dead heats where bookmaking odds prevail. k SEVENTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES.
