SPECIAL DAYS TO BE OFFERED AT EPSOM DOWNS HOUSTON, Texas, Oct 8. The following special days have been arranged for presentation during the remainder of the Epsom Downs meeting, it was announced by general manager Frank Reitman: Tuesday, October 13 T. Binford Day, with a big down-town parade and the sheriffs friends as guests of the track. Wednesday, October 14 Elks Day with appropriate ceremonies. Friday, October 16 Ranch Folks Day, and the quarter-mile Ranch Pony sprint with a field of fifteen entrants. Saturday, October 17 The Lowes State Handicap, to be titled the Romeo and Juliet Handicap, the theater to present a cup to the winner, a wreath to the horse and some gift, as yet unnannounced, to the winning jockey,. Also because of the inclement weather yesterday, Shrine Day officially will be held Wednesday, October 21, with the original j set-up repeated.
