TEMPERMENTAL, away fast, was hustled into the lead, held on gamely in the. drive, but failed to last. MR. MICKEY, well placed in the early running, saved ground all the way and was going well at the end. VINTAGE, far back early, came with a rush in the stretch and finished gamely. DICKS SUNSHINE, taken up at the break, lost ground by racing wide, moved into a contending position in the stretch, then tired. OPAL M. D. showed early speed. ULTALU, well placed in the early running, moved up fast on the lower turn, raced IDLE BUBBLES into the ground, drew away into a long lead entering the stretch and won easily. BAGENOMINA, -far back early, lost ground while entering contention, closed gamely m the stretch and was going well at the end. MIANNE, well placed in the early running, saved ground in the stretch, but was in close, quarters when OFF SIDE bore over on her, but held on gamely in the drive. HIGH FIDELITY was going gamely at the end. WESTPORT, pinched back at the first turn, was taken to the outside on the lower turn and finished gamely. IDLE BUBBLES quit badly. KING TODAY, outrun early, gained gradually, closed with a rush in the stretch and was wearing the winner down. THISTLE KAY broke slowly, gained steadily and was going well at the end. RUCKUS was in close quarters on the back stretch, came on again when straightened out and finished gamely. MISS CONTRARY raced evenly. PERSIAN STEP tired badly. BUD SMITH showed early speed. HALLE, well placed in the early running, responded gamely to urging, held on with courage in the drive and outlasted BLIND HOPE. The latter, away fast but outrun early, came to the outside for the drive, closed with good speed and would have won in another stride. SWING CORNERS started slowly, lacked early speed, closed with a rush in the stretch and finished gamely. NOTAR closed gamely in the final eighth. WILD BEAUTY moved up fast on the inside, took a short lead after going a quarter mile but tired badly.
