Plan Forty-Day Meeting at River Downs, Daily Racing Form, 1937-06-18

PLAN FORTY-DAY MEETING AT RIVER DOWNS HOMEWOOD, 111., June 17. According to word received here from Cincinnati, the River Downs track, now under reconstruction, will be reopened in August for a meeting of forty days. It is understood that the owners of that racing plant are expending large sums to rehabilitate the course, which suffered heavy damage from the flood which swept the Ohio Valley during the past winter.
