KAr SOU raced forwardly on the outside, lost ground but continued with good energy to the close. PRINCE ALEX worked his way up gradually but tired during the stretch drive. ESTHERS CHOICE stumbled at the start, recovered to better her position steadily and was going gamely under severe pressure r.!riTr.Cnd RICCAD0NNA showed good speed to hold a forward position for a half mile, then tired. LAST REVUE could not threaten the leaders. MARINE MAID showed a flash of early speed. OAKWOOD BOY raced greenly. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. LADY PAL, away nicely and hustled hard to stall off NIGHT SERGE in the early running, responded willingly when shaken up for the stretch drive and held DORNOCH safe. The latter followed close to the leaders early and finished with good courage in the closing test. SCARA GLEN raced strongly throughout and finished with good energy. NIGHT SERGE was sent into contention rapidly on the inside, forced a steady pace for a half mile, then tired as if short. SINGLE A., forced to race on the outside, showed good form. CANTERAWAY began slowly and could not menace. PAR VALUE had no excuses. DOROTHY DEY was outrun. DUNDRUM sprinted into a clear lead rounding the turn, was shaken up lightly when reaching the stretch, then drew out steadily nearing the finish. LADY NORTH went stoutly while racing in contention and held on gamely for the final drive. SAKUNTALA was under strong urging from the beginning, saved ground but tired approaching the finish. ORBREY raced on the outside while finding clear racing room and had no mishaps. EBON ZE lacked speed to be dan gerous. FALEEN went evenly. BLAZE CREST was never a factor. CLOIBELLE was away poorly. ALS PRIDE, close to the leaders after getting away well, swung to the outside when making his run, disposed of the leaders readily at the stretch turn and held CHIRIQUI safe at the end. The latter worked his way up on the outside and finished with a rush. BLACK BESS, a keen facto, all the way, held on gamely for the final drive. BORO POKER, beginning slowly, weaved his way between horses to finish with good speed. DISOWN lost ground but raced well. TZIGANE was made too much use of in the first half mile and tired in the last three-sixteenths. CAPTAIN HULL showed a flash of speed in the first eighth. CRESTON raced MATHIAS into submission in the first three-quarters, responded to pressure but could not- withstand the winner. FLAT ROCK improved his position. pn the outside and finished gamely in the final test. DOUBLE FINESSE charged midway of the final turn, saved ground but was not good enough.: LARRIGAN was never dangerous. THREE GRAND was done early. MATHIAS quit badly. LUKE PHANTOM, raced into an easy lead soon after the start, was rated until challenged, then rallied nicely to withstand HIGHEST POINT. The latter, rated within striking distance of the leaders, responded readily when placed to a drive but was not good enough after reaching the winner in the, final eighth. MAR-FREE was kept prominently placed but failed to gain when the real test came. MISCHIEFMAKER, sluggish in the early stages,- closed a good gap when in full stride. APATHY was unable to threaten at any stage. RED ARIL had no excuses. LITTLE BROTHER tired. EIGHTH RACE 1 MILE AND 70 YARDS. STICKEMUP lost ground at the first turn, offered stiff contention for three-quarters, then was weakly ridden through the late stages while under punishment. JOLYON was taken.wide from the start and could not improve his position. DEEP RUN went evenly. HEART PLAY could not reach contention. CHITTER was held safe. Scratched 42865A.
