FAIRMOUNT TO OPEN SEPT. 4 ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 17. A fall race meet which will begin on September 4 and continue for twenty-five or thirty-one days will be held at the Fairmount race track near Collinsville, 111., this year, it was announced today. R. E. Costello, East St. Louis attorney, who last week obtained the certificate of purchase of the track from the American Turf Association for clients whose identity he declines to reveal, made the announcement. The new general manager of the track will be D. C. Burnett, of Chicago.
