1 AGAWAM TURF NOTES I 3 Atcines and Chiku, scheduled starters in the third race Thursday, were found, to be ineligible and were withdrawn by the stewards. Pat Horgan, racing secretary of the Nar-ragansett Hacing Association, came down from Providence, R. I., for his first visit since the meeting here was ushered in. Horgan was immensely pleased with the local plant and was interested in the caliber of racing that obtained. - The schooling list has been augmented by the additions of Georgie Porgie and Gray-wick. Classes are conducted daily for horses that have shown bad post manners. Mrs. A. Ament arrived to inspect the horses of her stable that are here in charge of trainer Thomas Quihlan. John Conway supplanted William Almy, Tr., as steward representing the Massachusetts Racing Commission at Agawam Park on Thursday and will remain for the balance of the meeting. The change came about when Mr. Almy was transferred to Suffolk Downs after the close of racing on Wednesday. The Hotel Clinton Handicap on Saturday should be the outstanding mile race of the New England season, with Master Lad, Bub-blesome, Prince Fox, Miss Premier, Black Boo, Lost Friend, Money Muddle, Unher-p.lded and Strategist II.
