BARBARA S., hustled into command and given a breathing spell on the stretch turn, drew away from SAND BAG .when straightened in the stretch ,and,: opening up a good lead, was. safe from MAMAS- BO Y-The latter, ridden strongly, held on gamely, though inclined to bear over in the stretch; SAND BAG began -slowly and was ridden hard but .tired in the last three-sixteenths. PEDANT rushed to the outside in the last eighth. MR. GRIEF began slowly. EVENING TIME, factious at the post but away well, was handled timidly. MISS PITTYPAT dropped back after five-sixteenths. TOMYE, at home in the going and away fast, easily opened up a good lead, was aided by excellent rating and had something left. BOILING POINT, under light restraint early, held on well when under pressure through the stretch and quickly disposed of UPHOLDER in the final eighth. The latter rushed to the leaders and raced wide, and began to tire after five-eighths. SKY CLOUD had no mishaps. CAIN was through early and eased up in the stretch. SILVERETTE, much the best, raced into tin easy lead while saying ground the first three-eighths, was taken out slightly after reaching the turn and, shaken up soon after entering the stretch, continued well to win with something left. LEADING ARTICLE, also quick to begin and having speed, was under energetic riding; after about three-eighths but could not menace the winner. GREY STREAK, forced to race wide, tired after five-eighths but was best of the others. PRINCE TORCH -was- on the Inside in the stretch. The latter, raced wide and allowed to remain out of it for about five-eighths, moved up steadily when placed to strong urging but did not seriously threaten the winner and tired near the end. WARFELLOW, also outrun early, came through on the inside in the stretch and tired in the late stages but outfinished CORONIUM.
