I LAT0NIA TURF NOTES T The veteran owner, trainer and breeder, C. C. Van Meter, decided to ship Zingali, Javamocha, Park City, Big Tim and Wall to his farm near Lexington. The horses were vanned from Latonia Sunday. Trainer J. M. Goode was expecting J. W. Parrishs Dellor, which finished third in the American Derby Saturday, to reach Latonia Monday night from Chicago. Acting for Miss E. Black, trainer E. Bab--cock purchased the five-year-old Rapparee from L. C. Ewald. Babcock also took, over the two-year-old Goshen and the four-year-old Takes Time for the same patron. Goshen and Takes Time are full brothers, both being by St. James Ladiva. Before shipping to New York, trainer A. Dunne sold Screen and Dust Box to L. W. TJlmer of Cleveland, Ohio. The horses were turned over to B. B. Rice to condition. The stable of two-year-olds that race for J. O. Keene, Lexington breeder, will probably go to Arlington Park the latter part of the week in charge of trainer A. Ayres. After the close of the local meeting, Olin Johnson is shipping the fifteen head in his charge to Dade Park. The promising apprentice, Herman Brack, under contract to J. C. Ellis, will be taken to Thistle Down by E. Deisen, agent for the stable. Brack will be on hand, however, for the opening at Dade Park early in August. Tom Sanford, who makes his home here, leaves for Lancaster, Ohio, Tuesday, where he will serve as presiding steward for the Lancaster Racing Association during the eight-day meeting beginning next Saturday. The veteran rider, Harry Louman, who suffered a broken shoulder when thrown from the two-year-old Golden Sea Saturday, was a visitor Monday morning. Five horses, the property of Mrs. R. J. Murphy, of Evansville, Ind., will be shipped to Arlington Park the early part of this week by trainer Otis Clelland. Ten others quartered here will be sent to Dade Park in charge of Paul Clelland. Jockey M. L. Fallon will go to Arlington Park with Otis, while apprentice W. L. Johnson will remain here to finish out. meat.lnsr. Acting for Wilt and Eubanks, Arthur Hill swapped the two-year-old Wilbank to H. H. Temple, Jr., for the three-year-old Geesum. Recovering rapidly from a broken collarbone apprentice J. W. Wilson, local rider, expects to resume riding next week. The Shady Brook Farm stable, in charge of George Brooks, got away Sunday for Arlington Park. Trainer A. Dunne shipped seven head, which race for D. W. Butler, to New York, Sunday. -Jockeys Eddie Legere and Lester Pichon and apprentice Chall went with the stable.
