Brown, Jr., serving as steward at Agawam Park, who has been engaged to serve in a similar capacity at Delaware Park, is expected to leave near the close of the present week. His place in the stand will be filled by Vincent Treanor, who waB in the stand at Tropical Park. Jockey A. Schmidl, who is rated among the leading pilots here, accepted no less than seven mounts in the eight races on Mondays program. Schmidl is under contract to Charles Raynor, who has several useful horses quartered here. Another powerful stable reached Agawam Park with the arrival of the William Zieg-ler horses which came from Aqueduct. Other important stables racing at Agawam Park are those of C. R. Fleishman, Mrs. F. C. Clark, Mrs. Rigan McKinney, H. R. Dulaney, Jr., J. R. Macomber, P. S. P. Randolph, Jr., Sage Stable, Victor Emanuel, A. C. Bostwick, J. P. Smith, and Bayard Warren. Shipments reaching here over the weekend to bolster the horse population at Agawam Park, were the horses of C. R. Fleish-mann and J. J. Power, which came from Suffolk Downsi It was learned here Monday that George Mayberry, trainer of the T. F. Swords Stable, has severed his connections with that establishment. For a consideration that was not made public Sol Rutchick purchased the three-year-old Grey Chieftain from Mrs. H. Hork-heimer. H. B. Anderson intends to transfer his stable, consisting of several useful horses, to Delaware Park for the meeting that will be inaugurated Saturday. The stewards excused the two-year-old, Perjured, owned by S. Harshani, from the first race Monday due to soreness that developed after being blown out early Monday morning. Jockey L. Dubois, who has been riding especially well at this meeting, has given first call on his services to the stable of Mrs. Ii. H. Nimkoff, which is trained by Moe Simon.
