ARLINGTON PARK NOTES ! $ s Sixteen horses, the pride of .Mrs. John Hertz L.eona Farm, the breeding establishment at Cary, 111., will be raced under the famous yellow and black silks of the wife of the Arlington Park executive board chairman during the Northside meeting, which opens Monday, June 28. The string will include Count Arthur, Our Reigh, Count Atlas, Count Seven,. Count Edward, and the twen year-olds The Boxer, Chance Star, Gypsy Minstrel, Count Cary, Dancing Reigh, Reigh Bengal, Reigh Risk and Reigh Esteria. Another representative establishment is Markey and Bohns Bomar Stable, the ranking racing stable in the Detroit sector, which will ship to Arlington soon. Twelve Bomar horses now at Washington Park will be vanned over before the opening1 of the Northside meeting and a like number will be shipped from Detroit to bolster the Bomar forces. Among the Bomar horses which will race here are Grand Slam, Yellow Tulip, Billy Bee, Sweet Desire, Frisco 00 Kid, Late Day, Biscayne Blue, Slam, Marji Keen, Little Shaver, Noble Boy, Gold Band, Bomar, Cosette and eleven two-year-olds. Surely two, and probably three, of the major radio chains will broadcast all Arlington Park stakes oyer national hook-ups during the thirty-day meeting, which, opens here June 28. Clem McCarthy, ace of the turf air-waves, will fly out from New York to broadcast each of the eight stakes N. B. C. will also broadcast from the track out of their Chicago station daily, with Norman Ross, famous U. S. Olympic athlete, at the mike for the feature races. T. D. Buhl, young Detroit sportsman whose horses are trained by A. G. Wilson, will race a strong, compact string during the Arlington Park meeting. He writes that he is shipping one horse, probably the fleet Sweeplike, for the Inaugural Handicap June 28 and the route-running Gyral for the 0,-000 Stars and Stripes July 5. Others in the- Buhl stable are Couleedam, Gunwale, Sun Arena and Nad. Trainer Wilson will include two others owned by a different in- terest in the shipment from Detroit.
