WASHINGTON PARK NOTES I j $ F. S. Page got away Sunday from Washington Park to Delaware Park with the horses James City and Dignitary. Before shipping to Delaware Park, Ted Corning, acting for Mrs. F. A. Carreaud, sold. Glad Wings to R. West, for a private consideration. Jack Dempsey and his wife were clubhouse guests at Washington Park Monday. They are in Chicago for the heavyweight championship fight Tuesday night Jockey S. Hebert got back from Detroit and was in colors today. J. B. Partridge, whose horses are racing in New York, came down for the championship fight and was a visitor at Washington Park Monday afternoon. C. J. FitzGerald, Sr., has gone to his home in. Connecticut to celebrate his wedding anniversary with Mrs. FitzGerald. In his absence, his son, C. J. FitzGerald, Jr., is serving in the stewards stand and .Emmett Hileman joined the staff of placing judges. The Tranquillity Farm stable of Henry H. .Cross is to leave here Wednesday for Delaware .Park, where it wjll be .shipped under the direction of .trainer E. Il, Snyder. Sey-. eral of the horses in the large establishment will be sent to the Cross farm at Percyville, Va. Jockey Basil James will accompany the shipment east. Mel S. Ingleright, acting for C. Andrade 1 III., purchased from R. O. Higdon the highly regarded two-year-bid Bowers. The youngster is a son of Morocco and Eloise and was " included in a shipment of horses from Washington Park to the new Del Mar track in California. . Having filled riding engagements at De- l troit Saturday, jockeys.. C. Kurtsinger, and C. Corbett were, back at Washington, Park today.
