The latter, much the best, was forced to take back when in close quarters in the early running, but came to the middle of the track in the stretch, to finish gamely, and would have won in a few more strides. WHO SAID soon dashed to the front to open up a good lead and drew away from BLINKEM after entering the stretch, but bore out badly in the last sixteenth and barely lasted to hold RUTH G. The latter beat the gate but lacked the early speed to keep up, then came again on the inside in the stretch and would have won in a few more strides. BLINKEM tired in the run home. MINT BOX made a game move after entering the stretch and was beaten but narrowly for the winning end, ARIEL TEMPEST and LUGEN LUGGAGE tired in the stretch. SCYTHE was in close quarters right after the start and was badly outrun to the stretch, thea closed some ground. TOMBEREAU tired badly in the stretch, TED HUSING unseated his rider soon after the start and ran away a mile arid three-quarters. .
