SHIP GIRAFFES TO SAN DIEGO NEW YORK, N. Y., Oct. 10. The first two giraffes ever to cross the continent by truck left the federal animal quarantine at Athenia, N. J., today for the zoo in San Diego, Calif. The giraffes, a male and a female, from Kenya colony in British East Africa, are about four years old and stand ten feet tall. j
