BUNTY LAWLESS EASY WINNER Demonstrates He Is Best Horse in Canada by Victory in Championship at Long Branch. TORONTO, Ont., Oct. 10. Bunty Lawless, son of Ladder and Mintwina, racing for W. Morrissey, accounted for the running of the Long Branch Canadian three-year-old championship purse and established himself the outstanding horse of the year when he raced to a handy length and one-half victory before W. Russells Cabin Gal. Mona Bell, from the Cosgrave Stable, was in third placej half a length back, and five lengths in advance of Mrs. S. Hoovers Skyros. Bunty Lawless was ridden by jockey T. Aimers and raced the mile and one-sixteenth in 1:45 under the impost of 118 pounds. Owner Morrissey was presented with a shield with two gold horse shoes by the Hon. Gordon Conant following the running. The shield was the gift of the Long Branch Jockey Club and the winners share of the purse totaled ,125. A crowd of more than 18,000 was on hand for the Canadian Thanksgiving Day sport. Ideal weather prevailed, while the racing strip was at its best.
