BEARS, PACKERS AND REDSKINS BEATEN IN PRO LEAGUE The biggest upset of the professional football season was the unexpected defeat of the Chicago Bears, the league leaders, by the Cleveland Rams at Cleveland Sunday, 14 to 7. The surprising Rams, which a week ago took the measure of the Detroit Lions, bowled over the previously unbeaten Bears and, aided lay a fumbled punt, dashed on to victory. The Green Bay Packers were provided with an unexpected upset in their campaign for the western division championship before a record crowd of 22,000 at Green Bay Sunday, when the Detroit Lions triumphed, 17 to 7. The New York Giants handed the professional football champion Washington Redskins their first defeat of the season Sunday at Washington, winning, 10 to 7, before 37,000 spectators.
