! SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES f George Palmer got in from Havre. . de Grace over the week-end. He does the starting here. C. C. Miller has taken over the training of Darlington for Bassman and Hedrick and Charlotte F. for Mrs. C. C. Miller. Dave Sodders registered the horses he transferred from Fairmount Park. The property of various owners, they are Runmilton, Black Anna, Khar Fair, Muriellynn, Norman Sloat and Gawaine. Frank Kurinec got in from Collinsville with The Jurist and Scotch Thistle. Among additions to the local riding colony arc D. Scurlock, J. Bowen, J. Hernandez, J. Dyer, A. Lo Turco, J. Carter, T. King and E. Dew. The racers H. C. Rumage will campaign here for his wife are Musical Jack, Perfect One, Transen, Ingle Nook and Grace Whisk. Before shipping the rest of his wifes horses east, Emil Deriemark sold Miss Collins to Mrs. A. M. Creech and Unfurl to Mrs. M. E. Martin. Both sales were private. Dave Stone brought in four horses from Fairmount for M. W. Whitebrook. They are Jokester, Play May, Little Kiev and Maria Juliet. Plans for two horses which race under the colors of the famous dance team, Veloz and Yolanda, have been changed and instead of: being shipped to New York will remain here for the Sportsmans Park season. Their thoroughbreds are Veyo and Veyolanda. j Tommy Steele, who has been looking after, the work in the secretarys office pending the arrival of R. S. Shelley, left for Narragansett Park. I P. C. Williams registered Only Son, which he brought in from Collinsville. j Lon Copenhaver left over the week-end by! plane for Los Angeles on a business trip. He j is expected back Monday night. J. W. Bernard brought in Pumice Stone, Circus Knight and Leonard Son and on his arrival took over Kosse, Our Queen and Jean Dale from R. O. Higdon. The horses are owned by McCamey and Deaner. j
