SEARCHING FOR LOST FLYER SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 10. Search was intensified today for Howard E. Mitchell, 26, Salt Lake City flier, unreported since his single-seated monoplane disappeared over Southeastern Nevada last Saturday. Five private planes and two army ships, using Ely, Nevada, as a base, flew over the desert area. Mitchell was flying one of a score of planes which were making a good-will flight from Salt Lake to Ely.
