UMPIRE FOR MATCH RACE Official to Decide Whether Horses Will Meet That Day. No Increase in Prices for Seabiscuit-War Admiral Affair Refund If Walkover Occurs. ..BALTIMORE, Md., Oct. 10. "No increase in prices for the War Admiral-Seabiscuit race" was the welcome announcement by the- Maryland Jockey Club over the week end. General manager Matt Daiger stated that the officials of the Pimlico course had agreed to adhere to the same scale of admission and reserved seat prices that are in effect for Preakness Day. "Elaborating on the announcement, Paiger stated that applications for reserved seats would be received immediately and assignments made in order of receipt. The race, which has been scheduled under the name of the Pimlico Special, has been set for Tuesday, November 1, and, in the event of a postponement, the reserved seat tickets will be good for that day as well as the day on which the race will actually be run. Fur-tKermore, should a walkover occur, purchasers of reserved seats will be refunded the price of their seat tickets. "However, there will not be refunds of admission tickets, .65 general admission and .50 clubhouse enclosure, as these need not be-purchased until the time of entry to the grounds. TERMS OF AGREEMENT. In the terms of the agreement for the race is a provision calling for a neutral umpire todetermine by 8:30 a. m. of November 1 whether or not the race will be run that day. If, in the opinion of this umpire, conditions are satisfactory the race absolutely will go that afternoon; if not, then the race will be postponed to Thursday, November 3, with a similar decision to be made by 8:30 a. m. on. that date. in setting such liberal conditions governing the sale of reserved seats and with the umpires decision coming early in the morning of the day the race is scheduled, the Maryland Jockey Club believes it has worked out a satisfactory ai-rangement to safeguard the public in case a postponement is deemed necessary. The scale of prices for reserved seats will range from .50 for box seats to :75, :65 and .10 for grandstand seats. Applications must be made in writing to Matt Daiger, Pimlico Race Course, Baltimore.
