FALL SALES AT LEXINGTON Good Returns Realized by Brood Mares Ten-Year-Old Daughter of Campfire Brings Top Price. LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 10. The annual fall auctions in the Lexington sales paddock began this morning with fifty-one head of brood-mares and weanlings selling for 0,-700, an average of approximately 02. Top price was ,700, which Tollie Young acting as agent, paid for Sky Blue Pink, which was consigned to end the partnership .of A. B. Gay and Charlton Clay. Sky Blue Pink is a chestnut mare, foaled in 1928, by Camp-fire, from Blush Rose, by Star Ruby. Second highest price was ,500 which A. E. Woodard gave for Mesalliance II. in the Belair Stud consignment. F. B. Koontz gave ,000 for Half Hose and Sam-ual D. Riddle the same amount for Har-monessa. Top price among the weanlings was ,000, which Charles Asbury. bid for the Bull Dog filly out of Sky Blue Pink. Complete summary will be printed after the conclusion of the sale.
