MAEMERE FARM PREPARING 25 Page String Now at Full Strength for Hialeah Park Campaign ; Thorson Among Leaders. MIAMI, Fla., Nov. 25 The Maemere Farm owned by DeWitt Page of Bristol, Conn., is now up to full strength for the Hialeah winter meeting, January 11 to March 4. Trainer George Phillips has twenty-five horses in all which will be seen under colors. The stable came on from Belmont Park. The roster reads: Purple Knight, Maeriel, Go Home and Silas, five-year-olds; Maedic and Mistralkin, four-year-olds; Maebeau, Maefleet, Frank H. and Color Salute, three-year-olds; Maenomic, Maerod, Maeline and River Pirate, two-year-olds, and ten yearlings. Maj. Thomas H. McCreery also arrived from Belmont Park, with thirteen horses, the property of H. R. Bain of Toronto, Ont., and J. F. Byers, Sr., J. F. Byers, Jr., and B. M. Byers of Pittsburgh, Pa. McCreerys consignment consists of Thorson and Passing Sun, six-year-olds; Sun Power, Dark Channelle, Stony Brush, Trova-dora, Pyriform and Erratic, two-year-olds, and five yearlings. Thorson has been a real handy horse among the handicap performers. During the 1937 season the Buckley M. Byers colorbearer won such stakes as the Excelsior Handicap at Jamaica, the Champlain Handicap at Saratoga and the Yorktown Handicap at Empire City.
