WATCH RUNNING 147 YEARS PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 25. A watch in the possession of H. J. Griffith of Portland that was made in Boston nearly a century and a half ago still keeps time for its proud owner. The watch was made by William El-Iery of Boston in 1789 and was presented to Mr. Griffiths grandfather by the citizens of Philadelphia for outstanding service in the Pennsylvania assembly.
