ALICE DODGE, having her best speed, raced strongly back of the leaders in the early running, swung to the outside to displace DINAMITA entering the stretch, was kept under urging and drew out as if much the best. DINAMITA raced LADY TIMAROLE into submission, was taken out off the rail, but failed to keep . pace with the winner when caught. GAY CASINO slipped when the start came, gained stride quickly to be sent forward with a rush and finished with good courage. DROSERA raced in spots. COUNTESS MAID improved her position, but was not dangerous. LADY TIMAROLE was done after going a half mile. SISTER ANN could not untrack herself in the footing. COUNORA did not favor the footing. TIS SO would not extend herself. DIAN, suited in heavy footing, raced to the front at the start, was steadied nicely while stalling off early contention, rallied to draw clear on the stretch turn and continued to increase his lead nearing the close. BRIGHT CHANCE was rushed forward on the inside when straightened into the back stretch and made repeated bids, but had too much use made of him, and tired. TAUNTON improved his position stoutly from a slow beginning and came through on the inside to finish gamely. FLYING FEET was always in the thick of contention and held on well. STROPHE raced wide and could not threaten. BOBBRAX could not stay. DAY IS DONE, shuffled back early, closed a big gap. PRINCE KHAYYAM was held safe. SANDY MEADOWS tired. BRIGHT LIGHT could not keep up. CARLS CHOICE quit badly. NANSEMOND, going in her best form, was steadied within striking distance of the leaders while racing on the outside, moved forward stoutly nearing the stretch, rallied to punishment and wore down UGIN approaching the finish. UGIN raced on the inside after moving to the front, came out from the rail on the stretch turn and was placed to punishment, but could not withstand the winner. CLAP IN was forwardly placed early and held on stoutly in the final test. JOBAKHETA improved his position slowly. FLY ME saved ground, but failed to menace seriously. MOON HARVEST had no excuses. MATTAPONY raced in dull form. HAPPY HOSTESS quit badly. STABLE, outrun in the early stages, swung to the outside and closed determinedly under punishment. NELLIE BLY was ridden stoutly to get into the lead, raced GIN FRITTERS into defeat and saved ground, but tired under punishment in the last eighth. ARGELLA was sent up rapidly in the opening eighth to reach contention, then raced forwardly, but was not good enough. SHALL WE DANCE was always outrun. GIN FRITTERS was done after going a half mile. INFIDOX raced wide on the first turn, went along with the leaders until leaving the back stretch, moved to the front, then was placed to light punishment in the closing eighth and withstood JOLLY TAR. The latter, away nicely but slow as usual to settle in stride, worked his way forward on the inside to reach the winner, then came to the outside to finish determinedly under punishment. BROWN MOTH was a strong contender all during the running and held on with good energy to the finish. PATAN showed a good effort throughout. CERISSE III. began tiring after going seven-eighths and finished wide. MISS CANRON was badly outrun from the start. MELODY MAID displaced GOLD KNIGHTESS when ready, then drew clear, but tired under severe pressure. MAHLETTE, away very slowly, raced to the outside and closed an immense gap. DONA DULCIN vas ridden hard, but could not engage the leaders. GOLD KNIGHTESS tired after being displaced. MONOLOGUE was held safe. SPARKLING quit badly. DIXIE S. fell and pulled up lame. .
