BONILUNA, close up from the start, moved to the front on the inside after leaving the back stretch and, bearing out slightly in the last sixteenth, interfered with SKY SHOOT and held the latter safe to the end. SKY SHOOT was close up from the start and held on gamely. . EL PORTAL lacked early speed, but finished strongly on the inside. SPORTING GREEN was forced to race a trifle wide and went fairly well to the finish. ROTHBURY tired after racing to a prominent position. SKY BRUSH went to the front early and, going along gamely while making the pace, withstood repeated challenges and had enough left at the end to hold HOLSTER. The latter raced wide throughout and finished fairly well in the middle of the track. EMPRESS PELOTA was close enough in the early stages, but could not overtake the leaders. ROYAL ROVER challenged gamely on the stretch turn, then tired. SKY BREEZE was in close quarters on the inside on the back stretch and tired. UNION GIRL tired after three-quarters. GAY JACKET came through an opening next to the rail in the first eighth and, taking a good lead ifter leaving the back stretch, increased his advantage when shaken up entering the stretch and finished far In front. BOOTER BILLY began slowly, but improved his position thereafter and was easily best of the others. MANNIE closed a gap and finished gamely. JIMMIE SWEET began well, then dropped back, but came again in the middle of the track through the stretch. HEARTLESS GIRL began slowly and was badly utrun all the way. NEW TRIAL had early speed. PALMAR, well rated back of the early pace, came fast between horses when straightened out in the stretch and, under a drive, lasted to hold the fast closing ACES WILD. The latter went to the front soon after the start, dropped back slightly when ROYAL FEAST forged to the front on the far turn, went very wide into the stretch, but came again in the final sixteenth, but was not good enough. SWEEP ROYAL, outrun early, closed strongly and would have won in a few more strides. TOP BILLING had no miihaps. ROYAL FEAST went to the front on the turn and tired thereafter. The others were outrun.
