1 LEXINGTON TURF NOTES I $ . The horses that J. J. Greely, Jr., wintered at Shandon Farm here have been transferred to Keeneland and have been placed in training. Among the earliest arrivals at Keeneland was H. K. Barron, who transferred his stable from New Orleans some two months ago to be freshened up for the spring session in Kentucky. The band is made up of Exchange Club, Bojangles, Zebar and High Fire. The veteran turfman Jim Everman is devoting much of his attention to the preparation of the eight juveniles he has at Keeneland for Daniel B. Midkiff, Lexington contractor and sportsman. Two-year-olds that J. O. Keene has In training at the local course are Valvita, Val-roma, War Beauty, Frances Keene, Entre Nous, Reine Margot,-Jeanne DArc. Seven juveniles and two older horses make up the string that Leslie Combs has at Keeneland to flaunt his colors during the spring meeting. The new barn on which construction was started less than two weeks ago, is expected to be completed and ready for occupancy the early part of next week. Mostly and My Buddy, which Mose Shapoff had been racing in Florida, were returned to Le Mar Stock Farm today. Douglas Geddes and Mrs. Geddes are here for the week-end with relatives en route from Florida to New York, where Mr. Geddes has supervision of tickets and gates at Belmont Park, Aqueduct and Jamaica. Geddes made known that he will be in charge of this service at Delaware Park. He also returns to Saratoga this year as formerly.
