PAUMONOK HANDICAP WEIGHTS Campbell Puts Sir Damion at Top of Imposts With 126 Pounds Thirty-Two Weighted. BOWIE, Md., April 5. Jack Campbells allotments for the Paumonok Handicap, six furlongs opening feature at Jamaica, were made public at Bowie this afternoon. Sir Damion is top weight for the ,500 added event, which will be run a week from Saturday. He has been assigned 126 pounds, one over Fighting Fox and The Chief. However, he is a five-year-old and the other two are four-year-olds, so on the scale he is receiving one pound from each. Thanksgiving, another four-year-old, is in fourth place, with 123, and one pound away is Stormscud, with 122. Johnstown, the principal three-year-old eligible, has been allotted 112 pounds. Early Delivery, winner of the Hialeah Inaugural Handicap, is in with 116, the same assignment as Preeminent, a good stake winner in New York last season. Another" weighted similarly is Rye Beach, a keen late season horse in the East during 1938. Air-flame, which drew a blank at Santa Anita last winter, has been allotted 120 pounds, with Great Union three away, under 117. Thirty-two horses were rated by Campbell, with the three-year-olds Generalis and Substantial down at the bottom of his list, under ninety-two pounds each. The weights follow: Horse. Wt.
