FIFTY IN KENTUCKY HANDICAP Calumet and Milky Way Farm Stables Each Enter Four Horses. Twenty-First Banning of Race Will Be Main Event of Final Day of Louisville Meeting. LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 5. The twenty-first running of the Kentucky Handicap, a run of a mile and a furlong, for three-year-olds and upward, will feature the final jday of racing at Churchill Downs on May 20, and that most of the big stables here for the opening April 29 will remain to the end, is seen in the fact that fifty horses have been made eligible for the closing-day fixture. The Calumet Farm of Warren Wright and the Milky Way Farm of Mrs. Ethel V. Mars were the biggest nominators to this popular feature, each having entered four horses. The Calumet representatives are headed by Bull Lea, one of the stars of the three-year-old division last year, and recent winner of the Widener Challenge Cup. The other three Wright horses in the stake are Count Morse, a veteran of handicap racing; Ted Easy and Easy Mon. Military, Tiger, Mars Shield and John" One comprise the quartet from the Milky Way Farm. The Mars horses now are at Oak-lawn Park, but are expected here at the Downs early next week. OUTSTANDING ELIGIBLES. Other outstanding horses among those eligible for the closing-day stake are: Mrs. Louise J. Hickmans Arabs Arrow, winner of the Louisville and Churchill Downs Hand-caps and second to Mucho Gusto in the Kentucky Handicap last year; the Shandon Farms Burning Star, J. W. Parrishs Del-lor, the Lewin Stables Buttermilk, Bert Friends Co-Sport, R. C. Groffs Forever Prince, Mrs. Kirby Ramseys Palamede, Herbert M. Woolfs Joe Schenck, Morris Vehons Tiger Teddy, and Mose Goldblatts Dnieper. With such horses to draw from, the Kentucky Handicap, which is worth ,500 in added money, should prove a fitting feature for the last day of the local meeting.
