Mrs. Kirby Ramseys Palamede breezed an easy mile in 1:46 at Hialeah Park in preparation for the 0,000 added Tropical Handicap, to be run here on Saturday, April 8. Most of the candidates pointing for Saturdays stake have taken the opportunity to race themselves into condition. In todays South Miami Purse, Count Valiant, Dnieper and Your Buddy, three other eligibles, will be tested. Francesco, star of the Darby Dan Farms of Ohio, gained many supporters for the 0,000 race when he reeled off a mile in 1:41, handily, between races at Tropical Park yesterday. Francesco was second in the Miami Beach Handicap, most important race on the flat in America, and looms as second choice to Teddy Weed, fourth in the 0,000 Widener Challenge Cup, for Saturdays race. "I expect a field of between ten and twelve to go to the post in the race," declared secretary Robert Shelley.
