I TANF0RAN TURF NOTES -4 9 Jockey George Woolf won the horsemens golf tourney, which was staged at the Mill Brae course Monday. Jockey Frank Choj-nacki finished second, and Don Long, an agent, was third. It was a handicap affair. Shipment of "the Lawrence Barker horses from Santa Anita has been indefinitely delayed, it was reported Tuesday. Orientalist, a recent winner at Tanforan, has been placed on the stewards list because of soreness. Two more jockeys felt the heavy hand of the Tanforan stewards over the week-end when G. Napier and Eddie Tucker were each suspended for the balance of the meeting for rough riding. Napier drew his penalty for two infractions of the rules. He was found guilty of rough riding aboard English Harry in the third race Saturday and on Mask and Wig in the sixth race on the same day. Tucker drew his suspension for a similar offense on Spazz in the eighth race Saturday. Altogether, five jockeys have been suspended since the meeting began. Jockey Carroll Bierman was joined in wedlock to Miss Lily May Hale, of Hollywood, Sunday. The ceremony took place at Bur-lingame. Bierman and his bride departed for Keeneland, Ky., Tuesday. Clarence Shockley was an arrival from New Orleans with the Chilean horses Bachil-ler and Beldad. Shockley applied for a trainers license. Former jockey E. Jelly wired for four stalls for some horses he is bringing up from Agua Caliente.
