XENORAS FOX, close up from the start, went to the outside on the stretch turn and, taking command, opened up a good lead in the last eighth and won handily.. IMMUNITY came steadily through the stretch, made up ground, but did not seriously threaten. FORT RYOLA was in close quarters on the back stretch, but was going well at the end. RUSSIAN BANK showed early speed, but tired near the end. KAYEL had no mishaps and saved ground throughout, but tired in the last eighth. BOSCA was slow to get going and . made up some ground. BRENDARD followed the pace closely until well into the stretch, then forged to the front and, going well to the finish, won handily. SUN PORTLAND, outrun early, was forced to race wide while making his move and loomed up dangerously in the middle of the track in the stretch, but was not good enough. JACK BE NIMBLE was well up from the start in a good performance. SHASTA BUDDY was going fairly well at the finish. PEP TALK was unable to keep up with the early leaders. JUSTWAR tired. TENACE, close up from the start, overtook the others in the stretch and finished fairlv well. TORNILLO had a rough ,race, but finished gamely. UNDULATE closed a gap in the stretch. BORSODI seemed slightly lame after pulling up. STE. LOUISE and CALAVERAS were used up making the pace and tired in the stretch. CARITRE was cut off by STE. LOUISE entering the back stretch and was again blocked on the far turn. FOOLEM tired after heading the others in the stretch. HARVEY G. O. was never dangerous. RECOATNA improved her position steadily after going half the distance and got up to be second in the last stride. SKY EMPRESS was always close up and went gamely to the finish. TOROBANG was used up making the pace and tired. SWEET BETTY bore out on the first turn and was in close quarters when straightened out. MELODY BOOTS stumbled at the start and had little chance. RUTH JELINEK raced wide in the stretch, but was going fairly well at the finish. BELL OF IRON went evenly. BAKERSTOWN tired.
