GENUINE SPORT moved up while saving ground, came between the leaders when straightened out in the stretch and was up to win in the final fifty yards. SUN ASIA, prominent from the start, fell back near the home stretch, then came again in the stretch, but finished very wide. MR. BUDDY displaced SPANISH MAID early and, drawing clear on the turn, lost much ground entering the stretch and tired gradually. HAPPY HOST was a stout factor throughout and saved much ground. WEE HEDWIG could not improve her position in the closing drive. SHANTIME lacked speed. RAZZLE DAZZLE made up ground from a slow start. LILTING began well, but was outrun. PHENOMENAL, racing forwardly in the early running, was taken to the inside near the stretch and, going through a wide opening, moved into the lead and drew away steadily near the finish. HOLIDAY TEA, lacking early speed, moved up on the outside in the late stages and finished gamely. POLLY FAIR moved into the lead early, set a steady pace, but tired in the stretch drive after bearing out in the last quarter mile. LADY HAV raced in close quarters most of the way, then finished resolutely on the inside. RACEAWAY had good speed, but failed to respond for the closing drive. MYRNA LEE began slower than usual and raced in dull fashion. CAMBREEZE lost much ground. TWO CENTS could not keep up. MAD DE MIE was held safe. SWIFTNESS raced poorly. The latter worked her way up stoutly in the last half mile and was going strongly in the late Stages. JUST BUCK, rated back of the leaders, rallied gamely when placed to a drive and finished well. OBUDDY went evenlv. FLYING ORPHAN, well placed for three-quarters, challenged weakly on the last turn, then tired. RAVENNA was done after seven-eighths. BROWN LIGHT was never a factor. GENEVA CROSS had to be whipped to get to the front going to the first turn, was rated along after reaching he back stretch, swung wide into the home stretch and, responding gamely, was unable to hold the winner. FRENCH TRAP, lacking early speed, circled the others and finished fast. WEST SEA made a weak effort on the last turn. FREESTONE tired when the real test came. ERUPTION could not menace when placed to a drive. MINE BOY was unable to reach contention. BLACK PETER had no mishaps. The others were outrun. NINTH RACE 3-4 MDLE Out of Chute.
