MCHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES f $ Fifteen horses belonging to E. F. Bennett and Leo Beyda of Chicago are due at Churchill Downs. They are coming from Hot Springs in charge of William Causey. The horses which C. E. Dale has quartered at Douglas Park are Maetown, Allanwood, Blaufuss, Bristle, All Devil and Roguish King. Jockey R. Dean left here for Lexington, where he will do the riding for the I. J. Collins stable. Collis Ormsby, horseman who has been a regular at Churchill Downs for many years, is in St. Josephs Infirmary here suffering with an internal ailment. He took sick during the winter in New Orleans. Clyde Van Dusen is sending a few horses here from Lexington the beginning of next week and will transfer the rest here after the close of the Keeneland season. He will have twenty-two horses at the Downs when the local season begins. C. L. Croan, of Louisville, a member of the Kentucky State Racing Commission, returned here after spending much of the winter in Florida. He will leave for Lexington the middle of the week to attend the spring meeting of the commission.
