KURTSINGERS NEW EMPLOYER Crack Louisville Jockey Gives Roscoe Goose First Call on His Services To Ride at Keeneland. LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 11. Charles Kurtsinger, crack Louisville jockey, has entered the employ of Roscoe Goose. He will do all of the riding for that establishment when it swings into action at Churchill Downs this spring. Kurtsinger has been galloping horses for Goose for some time and yesterday gave first call on his services to the Louisville horseman. Besides the horses he has for himself, Goose has a number of thoroughbreds for Mr. and Mrs. John Marsch, Chicago patrons. Kurtsinger will begin his 1939 campaign in the saddle at Keeneland and after the close of that meeting will return to the Downs. Goose does not plan to send any horses to the Lexington track, and Kurtsinger will ride free lance during that meeting.
