RENEW KINDERGARTEN Bowies ,500 Added Juvenile Race Main Event Today. Ten Youngsters Named Overnight, With Serio, Jr., Entering Three May Be Public Choice. BOWIE, Md., April 11. The Kindergarten, a four furlongs dash for two-year-olds, which had its initial running in 1926, will feature mid-week competition at this track tomorrow. This ,500 added event is the principal opportunity for juveniles during the meeting of the Southern Maryland Association, and no richer race for newcomers in the Old Line State will present itself before the Pimlico Nursery next month. Ten have been named overnight for the . rnrp with thfi "Rrvsrm. "Hill and Shouse entrv holding by far the strongest hand numer ically in an entry of three. The unbeaten Imprudent will carry Brysons colors, while Nosy will for T. J. Hill with Arden Lass bearing the banner of Jouett Shouse. The combine is certain to rule the choice of the public and it is generally anticipated that Imprudent, a New Orleans campaigner, will come through triumphant. On paper she appears more formidable than her two running mates, though theyve been conditioned in racing over the track, an advantage she will not possess. IMPRUDENTS REAL TEST. Imprudent, a daughter of Whiskalong and Rash Promise, which cost a trifling 00, made four appearances at the Fair Grounds during the winter. She beat the best that could be mustered against her in the Crescent City, though it is questionable if the youngsters at that point held any considerable quality. Tomorrow shell be facing the severest task in her young career and its ppnprallv rnrofrier Vipr nnnncitinn will fivA the Byrson miss a husky argument. Training for the event was done at Pimlico and this morning she moved into Bowie to gallop three-eighths in :36 in company with Nosy. That suggests both are razor-sharp. Nosy made his debut late in the New Orleans season, finishing a bang-up second to Imprudent in his only start in that sector. His next was at Bowie, resutling in a driving victory. The effort was one to arouse no great enthusiasm among his admirers. Like the filly, hes by Whiskalong. Arden Lass forced Pimlico Queen to step a half mile in :48 to beat her on Saturday and seems definitely on the upgrade. Imprudent is not the only unbeaten filly among the Kindergarten entrants, as both Ranchos Girl and Pimlico Queen possess that distinction. The first named graduated Continued on fifteenth page. RENEW KINDERGARTEN Continued from first page. at Hialeah Park and then moved into this track to register in game style. Pimlico Queens two victories in as many chances were registered over the Prince Georges oval. Both shape up as formidable prospects. Halcyon Boy, first home in the Seminole at Hialeah Park, is the only stake winner in the field. Hes been freshened up since the meeting at the Widener-Bradley track, with dockers reporting him in good shape. However, he hardly will be as well supported by Marylanders as Praetor or Rumba Gus. The first named has been the most widely touted newcomer to show at the track and his one race is expected to do him a world of good. He worked mighty well for it and then had a "nice" tightener. Rumba Gus is a lad with a fine burst of early speed, though his underpinning is suspicious. However, he is going only half a mile over a soft track and on his second to Nosy must be respected. Nicky has been a winner here, while Flying Glee, a Miami graduate, showed nothing in one local start. Charlotte Girl lengthened her unbroken string of victories in the Kindergarten last April and it may be that one of the three leading filly hopefuls for tomorrows renewal will do the same. Racers of that sex have fared well in this stake, notably Wise Daughter, Angelic and Irrepressible. It is ques-tionable if Wise Daughter or Charlotte Girl was the best filly ever to make the accounting in the Kindergarten, though few will dispute the assertion that Vander Pool was the top colt. The latter set a race record when he sped the distance in :47. Thats only two-fifths of a second slower than Too Highs track mark for the four furlongs. The Kindergarten is the last stake of the meeting and is supported by a card which should provide worthwhile competitive sport One hesitates after the doings of recent days, to predict how formful it will be. Sun Egret will have his final for the Harford Handicap in the six furlongs Blenheim Handicap which stands out over the claim-ers that make up the rest of the card. Three of the latter are at a mile and a furlong.
