TO BUILD PANAMA HIGHWAY WASHINGTON, D. C, April 11. Acting Secretary of War Louis Johnson in a letter to Speaker Bankhead today, requested Congress to authorize an expenditure of ,500,000 toward building a highway within the Republic of Panama to aid in defense of the Panama Canal.
