1 TANFORAN TURF NOTES $ George Adams, well-known western turfman, has taken a call on the riding services of apprentice Burt Reynolds. Adams, who brought out jockey Charley Rosengarten and other good riders, believes Reynolds will develop into one of the nations best booters. The Indian Mountain Stable, trained by Frank Doyle, arrived Tuesday from Caliente. Included in the shipment from the border course were Sheerness, Gosport, Easy Pickings and Charlotte Ann. Trainer Tom Smith has just been sending the invader easy quarters since the lay-off following Santa Anita. Jockey W. F. Ward, having served his ten-day suspension for rough riding, resumes riding Wednesday. Henry Potter Russell, member of the California Horse Racing Board, sailed for Europe from New York on a vacation of two or three months. W. B. Finnegan, trainer for the Circle M Ranch, returned from Hollywood Park where he inspected a division of the stable he has quartered there.
