TECHNICIAN IN SIX FURLONGS BREEZE OVER MUDDY TRACK LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 11. A muddy track prevailed for training at Churchill Downs this morning, but it did not interrupt the conditioning program of Herbert M. Woolfs Technician, one of the ranking contenders for the Derby. With trainer B. A. Jones looking on, the son of Insco breezed three-quarters of a mile in 1:22 and seemed to thoroughly relish his work. Speed honors this morning went to Mrs. Kate Weils Sleepy Tom, which displayed a real fancy for the going. Working alone under the direction of trainer Ed Weil, Sleepy Tom covered seven furlongs in 1:31 handily, after going the half-mile in :50 and three-quarters in 1:17. In other training moves among the Derby eligibles here, Harold Crouchs Scotch Trap breezed six furlongs in 1:23, and Dan Lehans Fern Creek breezed three-eighths in :39.
