TURKS WANT QUICK ACTION- LONDON, England, April 11. The Turkish republic asked immediate British guarantee against Nazi-Fascist aggression today. Turkish envoys in London, it was learned, brought heavy pressure to bear on the British foreign office to obtain such guarantees before Thursday, at which time Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain is scheduled to warn that Britain will consider any further change in the Mediterranean status quo as an unfriendly act. If the British government waits until Thursday, it may be too late to save Turkey from the aggressors, the Turkish diplomats pointed out. "The situation was never more serious," a Turkish delegate was quoted as saying. "Turkey feels definitely menaced."
