i ALLEGRO DIXIANAS LEADER Star Three -Year-Old Heads Fisher String at Detroit — Ex-Jockey Jimmy Smith Trainer. DETROIT, Mich., May 17 —Allegro, one of the leading juveniles of last year and narrowly beaten by Johnstown in the renewal of the Breeders Futurity at Lexington, tops the Dixiana stable of Charles T. Fisher, at Detroit, in charge of former jockey James Smith. Allegro, reserved for local competition, ran six furlongs in 1:17 Monday and will make his seasons debut in the near future. Other seasoned performers in the Dixiana stable are Irish Setter, Frivolous Sal, Star Boarder, Batter, Hap Mack, World War, Highminded, Petes Niece, Red Haste, What Now, Model Mary, Likly Lad and All Time High. The latter recently recovered from an attack of fever and has not been returned to training. JUVENILE LIST. Two-year-olds in the Fisher stable are Mistletoe, Radiogram, Short Stop, Dollar Bay, Swing Band, Mighty Find, Carrie, Ball Gown, Pecks Bad Boy, Fayman, Sirocco, Rex Air and Dropped Stitch. Jockey M. L. Fallon is with the stable. The division of the James C. Ellis stable Olin Johnson brought here from Hot Springs is composed of Tura Stone, Axelson, Lucky Me, Grill, Sweeping Bow, Pal o Sweep, Bee Glad, Ellices Ace, Lucky Hattie, Sterling B., Golden Lea, Sweeping Tide, Melody Tone, Little Maid, Xpert Girl, Moon Sweep, Snap Clock and Glad Francis. Take On, Sweeping Dame and Jonnie Nuchols, now at Churchill Downs, will join the stable next week.
