CRETE STAKES NOMINATORS Prominent Owners Name Horses for Coming Attractions at Lincoln Fields — Opening May 25. Nearly seventy owners, some of them the most prominent in racing, have made nominations to the eleven stakes which will be presented during the twenty-seven-day meeting of the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club, where the season begins next Thursday, May 25. Herbert M. Woolf, Warren Wright, E. E. Fogelson, William JF. Morgan, Emerson F. Woodward, John Marsch, P. A. and R. J. Nash, Mrs. P. A. B. Widener, Theodore E. Mueller, D. B. Midkiff, Louis B. Mayer, Thomas D. Taggart, Mrs. Ethel V. Mars, Joseph E. Widener, William E. Smith, A. v. Ernst and others, whose colors are well known on the turf are to be represented at Lincoln Fields, and all of them have made subscriptions to the added money features at the Crete track. The presence of stables owned by such patrons lends color and importance to the meeting, which may see some of Chicagos best racing.
