OCCUPY STRATEGIC POINTS JERUSALEM, Palestine, May 17.— British troops were ordered to strategic points throughout the Holy Land today owing to fear of Arab-Jewish clashes coincident with scheduled publication of the British governments new plan for Palestine. A hostile reception to the proposals by both Jews and Arabs was anticipated. It was understood jthat the plan would greatly restrict Jewish | immigration but fall short of Arab demands.
